Acknowledging what a huge privilege it is to be able to move and to dedicate that time to yourself because -let's be real- it's not always easy.
Being grateful for what our bodies can do and place your energy on those things your body is best at. Do not focus so much on what you cannot do (yet!) because this leads to increased frustration and lack of motivation.
Creating a customised exercise plan with things that you enjoy (hence Joyful Yoga and Movement), emphasising on making exercise an enjoyable time for you. This is the way we can build a sustainable practice long enough in time to get the results you want. Remember, you will reach plateaus and you need a bigger 'why' to keep you going past them.
Embracing yoga philosophy has been for me the game changer that helps me stay disciplined not only with exercise but particularly in regards to food.
It's when we change our perspective about the way we eat that eating healthy is no longer a punishment but a conscious lifestyle decision, made from a place of self respect and self love.
