I come from a background in movement, having spent nearly a decade dedicated to Middle Eastern, Indian and Spanish dance. Yoga first crossed my path 18 years ago, when I moved to Australia. Back then, I was deep into dancing and not fully committed to the practice.
It was after my second child turned three that I returned to myself and my intrinsic need for movement. As a mother, exercising straight after childbirth is a privilege. In my case, motherhood caused mental burnout and also took a toll on my physical health (glucose resistance, dizziness, vertigo).
Three years ago, I strongly committed to Yoga and Strengh Training... and I was pleasantly surprised to see the incredible memory that the body holds, as I was returning to exercise after more than 9 years without consistency and dedication.
I didn't start exercising purely to lose weight. My motivation was -and still is- being strong and active, in order to keep up with my two energetic and demanding little boys. I focused on finding one or two types of exercise that I enjoyed, and avoided forcing myself to do types of exercise that I didn't enjoy.
Returning to fitness after motherhood, I found in Yoga & Strength Training a place for both the inner peace, and the inner warrior woman.
Overcoming the frustration of plateauing weight loss was possible because I kept reminding myself that a specific weight wasn't my main goal. I completely stopped tracking my weight, and just kept enjoying the process. About 1 1/2 years after restarting exercising consistently, I was shocked to see -while doing a medical check up - that I had lost 12kg .
Now I am a Qualified Yoga Instructor, teaching in different gyms and studios around Kent. My previous life experience teaching dance and other disciplines has been key to feeling right at home teaching yoga.
I am also a Qualified Personal Trainer, taking private clients who want to focus on building up not only strength, but also mobility and flexibility.
My life purpose is to share the Gift of Yoga, and to empower You.
Through Yoga, Breathwork and Strength Training, you can significantly improve: mental health, relationships, self confidence, energy levels, physical strength & inner peace.
